Echo Real Estate Capital recognized with Costar Impact Award
A regional autism care center in Indiana signed a lease to add a third location in the state this past August.
UNIFI Autism Care signed a lease agreement at 1920 E. McKinley Highway in Mishawaka, Indiana. Chicago-based Echo Real Estate Capital owns and manages the building and facilitated the lease.
The deal was recognized as the lease of the year in South Bend, Indiana, as part of the 2025 CoStar Impact Awards, which were judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
UNIFI also has locations in Indianapolis and Evansville. Adding a third location will expand its reach and bring much-needed resources to the community to support the developmental needs of autistic children.
About the project: The office building at 1920 E. McKinley Highway has 20,160 square feet and was built in 1985.
What the judges said: “I feel that the work that UNIFI is doing is very important, and there is often not enough supply for this type of care for the strong demand. … I believe services like UNIFI are what make communities desirable,” said Connor Oke, senior vice president at Bellagio Real Estate Partners.
“Backfilling office buildings is very important in major markets post-COVID,” said Damien A. Yoder, first vice president and Marcus & Millichap.
